Our Background
Jen and Dean bring a wide variety of experiences to River Run Pet Retreat. Jen has worked for 28 years in special education. She has always had a love of those in need both human and animal. Jen has had experiences with horses, cats, dogs, rabbits and chickens.
Dean has worked as a licensed electrician for the past 25 years both in the construction field and most recently at BIW. Dean has an attention to detail partnered with an engine that never stops which help him to make the facilities here at River Run the best they can be.
Our adult children all live in the area and each offer their unique gifts to help make River Run a successful family business.
Serving our community is a core value of our family. We reserve certain spots for any individuals with emergency boarding needs. Please let us know if we can assist with a specific situation. Additionally , we work closely with area dog rescues in order to help find homes and offer foster services to take care of the most vulnerable.
Why the name River Run?
We chose the name River Run Pet Retreat to reflect our special location next to the Eastern River. People and dogs alike can walk to the river and enjoy the sounds and peace of nature.
